The innovative principle

Its operating principle fundamentally distinguishes the Manger Sound Transducer from conventional loudspeakers. Music lives through the finest changes in time – from the attack of an instrument and the character of a voice to the way a sound fades away. Reproducing them as faithfully as possible was Josef W. Manger’s starting point.

In the Manger Sound Transducer, bending waves propagate from the centre across a flexible membrane. This allows a single membrane to reproduce an exceptionally wide frequency range – without mechanical energy storage that releases energy with a delay and thereby
alters the timing.

The result: voices and instruments retain their
natural character, space and depth become tangible,
and music feels immediate and effortless.

The aim is not a sound of its own. But a loudspeaker
that recedes from perception and puts
the music at the centre.

Our promise

An exceptional principle demands exceptional care in its execution. That is why the Manger Sound Transducer is handcrafted in small batches at our workshop in Mellrichstadt – with experience, precision and meticulous attention to detail.

Production takes place in batches of ten. Each finished transducer is then individually tested and measured. Only when it meets our tight production tolerance of less than ±0.5 dB does it receive its individual serial number.

This makes every Manger Sound Transducer an individually verified precision product – built to perform reliably for many years. And always with the same purpose: to serve the music.
